You asked for help? talk to JD wants e-mail 11:37, 19 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I need to find out how to alter the size of the Wikistress meters. I had included one on my user page, but it came up absolutely enormous and flooded the page out! I had used:
but the image did not resize to 40 pixels. Help! Thor Malmjursson 11:38, 19 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Something like [[Image:<image>|thumb|center|150px|blah]] should work fine. talk to JD wants e-mail 11:41, 19 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The image you're trying to put on your userpage doesn't exist, that's why the text is red. I'll try and find the wikistress images for you. talk to JD wants e-mail 11:53, 19 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know why the image wasn't working before, but it's working now. I used this image. talk to JD wants e-mail 11:57, 19 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

margare Nicholas

[edit]

You promised you "will get there" though Nicholas was reclusive and it was difficult to get any material to bulk the article. Kindly do get some information about the author

regards subzbharti

thanks for your kind response. I feel obliged and impressed the way you are managing your life and work.Information provided by you on Margaret Nicholas is enough.I don't want to bother you any more. please, do not mind my failure in following the Wikipedian discipline. it is too sophisticated but i am trying to grasp the suggested procedure.

help

[edit]

Question for the helper: I have recently moved a page because it was titled wrongly. The page was Becky and Barnaby Bear which I moved to Barnaby Bear (CBeebies) - This has been reverted by User:BarnabyBear. I know he has got it wrong since I have posted references to the BBC Website that shows the correct title. I do not wish to move the page again since I am thinking I will breech 3RR. Help!

Discussion? Have you tried discussing this with the person in question on their talk page or on the articles talk page? Most disputes are resolved though a reasonable dialogue where under misunderstandings can be ironed out and compromise reached. --pgk 13:50, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

For reverting vandalism on my user page. Much appreciated! ... discospinster talk 14:04, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Tmalmjursson - I put the Margaret Nicholas up for AfD earlier since in its current form it doesn't seem suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia; I just checked the edit history and noticed that you've been active and said you'd expand the article - Could you leave your opinion at the AfD page? If your wikistress is as high as it looks on your userpage it might be worth letting this article be deleted for the moment and restoring a better version later, rather than leaving the weak article in place. --Firien § 12:20, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: {{exams}}

[edit]

I have added the exams template to my head page. I will be semi-away from wikipedia until September 29th 2006, which is the day after my final Health and Social Welfare examination. I have been doing a BSc (Hons) Health and Social Welfare degree and this is my final week, so please be patient if you post messages below this one, and do not get an immediate reply. Thank you for your patience and I will be back (real) soon. Thor Malmjursson 13:32, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

For the most part they do allow us to do our job in peace. I deleted 1300 items last month. Other than a few "why did you delete my image?" questions the community was prepared to leave me alone to a remarkable degree.Geni 10:45, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

back in the day the thoery was that the community held most of the power on wikipedia. If they really want an admin to go it generaly suggests that the person is a less than ideal admin. People do treat admins with repect. That is why they get upset if admins act in certian ways.Geni 11:14, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

SuperTed Change

[edit]

My apologies concerning the incorrect edit made to the SuperTed article. In all honesty, it was actually a double-check error on my part rather than my attempt to change the facts. As I have been dealing with primarily USA-related articles, I have been using a macro to change the infobox's "origin" field from text (which can vary from article to article) to a flag template which remains uniform on every page even if the template is changed. When I come across an article originated in another country, I use the same macro and then manually change the info from "USA" to the appropriate country-template. In this case, I forgot or otherwise skipped making this change. I appreciate your letting me know that I had made this mistake. -- CobraWiki 18:45, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
